FAQ: Give me the rules please. What is the real way to grow fodder?

  • With the Theron Fodder Systems, you are looking at a 800% growth increase
  • So 1 pound of Barley becomes 8 pounds of Fodder
  • Rinse the Barley at least 2 times.
  • Let stand in water for 24 hours in two-system drainage drums.
  • Add a teaspoon of bleach to prevent mildew etc.
  • Rinse trays after each use properly or brush out to prevent mold etc.
  • Keep grow room dark with very little light coming thru – like a rain-forest, plants grow fast to get to the light.
  • Keep room at around 65 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit or 18 to 20 degrees Celsius.
  • Water your Fodder every 3 hours for 2 minutes with soft clean water spray or mist. (Not city water that was treated with chemicals.)
  • Ensure a very good (slow) drainage to remove water in trays after watering, but drain slowly.
  • Once Fodder is done growing (usually day 7 or latest day 8), remove and directly feed your livestock.
  • Note: To help with animal health and worms and parasites etc. add Diatomaceous Earth before feeding, sprinkel 1/6 cup per tray directly onto the Fodder.
  • Rinse – Repeat. 🙂
